Laetitia Blanchard Marzouka

Laetitia Blanchard Marzouka is a partner at the public accounting firm PAAST, P.L. She has approximately 20 years of experience providing attestation services to both private and public companies across a diverse range of industries, including distribution, food and beverage, manufacturing, insurance, aviation, pharmaceutical and financial services to name a few. Her practice areas include accounting, attestation, business consulting, tax, and forensic accounting.

In her current role, Laetitia provides oversight for the firm’s accounting and auditing practice, including engagement quality, technical consultation, and professional development. She serves as a trusted advisor to clients and engagement teams on complex accounting and auditing matters. Laetitia oversees the firm’s annual monitoring and inspection processes and plays a key role in maintaining compliance with professional standards. In addition, she spearheaded the firm’s implementation of the Statement on Quality Management Standards (SQMS) No. 1, A Firm’s System of Quality Management, and SQMS No. 2, Engagement Quality Reviews.

Laetitia is also a Lecturer at the University of Miami Business School. With more than a decade of teaching experience, she has taught a wide range of accounting courses. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she serves as the Coordinator for Principles of Financial Accounting, overseeing the course across multiple sections and instructors.

Prior to joining the firm, Laetitia was an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton LLP, where she managed one of the firm’s largest public company audit engagements, including oversight of its SOX 404 compliance program. She also led the audit engagement through the client’s initial public offering (IPO) and assisted with its annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Q filings. As a member of Grant Thornton’s U.S. Audit Methodology Support Group, Laetitia provided feedback on firm guidance and audit software prior to release. She also instructed local and national training programs on technical accounting updates, including FASB standards and PCAOB inspection-related matters.

Following her tenure at Grant Thornton, Laetitia served as Manager of Financial Reporting for a publicly traded company and Corporate Controller for a wholesale distributor preparing to become a public company through a reverse merger. In these roles, she gained hands-on experience with SEC reporting, technical accounting research and implementation, and the design and documentation of internal controls to support public company reporting and SOX compliance.

Laetitia stays abreast of current topics relating to public accounting by frequently attending local, state and national training seminars and conferences mainly hosted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
