Shane Sasso
Shane Sasso is an audit director at the public accounting firm PAAST, P.L. Shane has over ten years of experience providing accounting, attestation, forensic accounting, technical accounting, and litigation support services to a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, hedge funds, manufacturing companies, nonprofit organizations, real estate, property management and wholesale distributors. He specializes in performing providing attestation services for employee benefit plans and non-profit organizations. Shane’s experience also includes financial institution internal audits, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act audits, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering audits, compliance audits, as well as operational reviews of financial institutions.
Shane has performed BSA Risk assessments in accordance with the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council. He has also performed Look-back projects as ordered by different regulatory bodies: FDIC, OCC, DFR and Federal Reserve. He has several years of experience performing full scope BSA audits.
Shane is a frequent attendee of conferences and training seminars organized by the Florida Bankers Association, Florida International Bankers Association, and South Florida Bankers Institute. He also participates in the annual Deposit and Lending Compliance Seminar hosted by PAAST.
Prior to joining the firm, Shane worked as an auditor for Ernst & Young’s New York office in their Financial Services practice and at Transatlantic Bank in their Accounting department.
