Laetitia Blanchard Marzouka is a director at the public accounting firm PAAST, P.L. She has over 14 years of experience providing attestation services to a wide range of private and public clients in numerous industries including distribution, manufacturing, insurance, aviation, pharmaceutical and financial services, to name a few. Her practice areas include accounting, attestation, business consulting, and forensic accounting.

In her current role, Laetitia provides supervision, training, and quality control. Laetitia participates in assigning staff and budgeting hours for audits, tracks the progress of audits, and provides technical assistance to auditors. Laetitia also performs the annual inspection/review of the firm’s accounting and auditing quality control policies and procedures.

Laetitia has experience managing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and FDICIA consulting engagements. She also has experience with BSA Model Validations in accordance with OCC 2011-12 and verifying that BSA models are performing as intended to meet with banks’ objectives.

Laetitia stays abreast of current topics relating to public accounting by frequently attending local, state and national training seminars and conferences mainly hosted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

Laetitia is an adjunct accounting professor at Miami Dade College. Prior to joining the firm, Laetitia was an audit manager at Grant Thornton LLP where she managed one of GT’s largest public clients and its SOX 404 compliance. She also led the engagement during this company’s IPO. In addition, she assisted this client with its 10-K and quarterly 10-Q filings. She was a member of the Grant Thornton US audit methodology support group and provided feedback on firm guidance and software before their releases. She also instructed local and national trainings, including FASB technical updates and inspections from PCAOB.

After leaving Grant Thornton, Laetitia was the manager of financial reporting at a public company and the corporate controller at a wholesale distributor which was in the process of becoming public through a reverse merger. During her tenure at the public company, Laetitia analyzed and documented the company’s revenue recognition methodology in accordance with Accounting Standards Update No. 2014-09, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606), issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Accounting Standards Board. Moreover, Laetitia developed internal control narratives for the wholesale distributor to ensure SOX 404 compliance.
